About Star Medical Associates
Star Medical Associates (Star) is a physician-led Independent Physician Association (IPA) and managed care operation based in Los Angeles, CA. Star is comprised of owned and affiliated medical groups and a managed services organization (MSO) performing health plan delegated functions throughout Southern California, Nevada, and Arizona.
At our core, we are independent physicians supporting independent physicians. We ardently support our independent physicians and help enable them to provide the highest quality and best care to our members.
MANAGED CARE EXPERIENCE
For the past four decades, our group of physician leaders and advisors has played a vital role in promoting the independence of medical groups. We have supported the establishment of medical groups and patient networks for prominent healthcare organizations, such as Sutter Health, PacifiCare, Lutheran Hospitals, Providence Health, Adventist Health, Hoag Health, Lakeside Medical Group, Scripps Clinic Medical Group, and Prospect Medical.
